Sau khi download, kích hoạt file Lights Out.exe để sử dụng. Biểu tượng nhỏ của chương trình sẽ xuất hiện ở góc dưới bên phải của màn hình.
Trong trường hợp muốn tắt màn hình laptop, bạn chỉ việc click vào biểu tượng công tắc của Lights Out, màn hình sẽ tự động tắt. Bao giờ muốn mở trở lại, chỉ việc di chuyển chuột hoặc nhấn 1 phím bất kỳ trên bàn phím.
BigButtons: Có tính năng tương tự như Lights Out, nhưng có 2 dạng công tác cho bạn lựa chọn. Ngoài ra, tiện ích còn cho phép thay đổi độ sáng của màn hình (thay vì tắt màn hình) giúp tiết kiệm pin laptop.
